We went for Daniel's shots on Wednesday. He is 20 lbs and 6 oz and 29 1/4 inches long. We needed our six month shots. Last time at our 4 month they were out of the Hib. This time they were out of it too. They had plenty of shots for Sooner Care patients, but none for insured. Now don't get me wrong, I am all for kids getting everything they need no matter what choices their parents make. I think it's great that we have Sooner Care. But why are they "punishing" those with insurance. Daniel was already 2 months behind. We could choose to continue getting behind in hopes that the clinic would get more shots (by the way, my Dr. was very upset with the situation) or we could go to the Health Department and get his Hib. We chose to go to the Health Department. Poor Daniel had to go through the shot process again. Sometimes it seems that you are punished for doing things right. It just gripes me.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Daniel is sitting up. He has six teeth, four on top and two on bottom. He enjoys carrots, green beans, applesauce, and is starting to eat squash. He loves to eat! He is starting to talk more and can almost say Mama! Scott and I are very happy parents!
